About BioMADE

BioMADE is a non-profit, public-private partnership supporting the domestic bioindustrial manufacturing industry. In addition to supporting technical research and building the workforce of the future, BioMADE is building this national network of pilot plants to support American companies as they seek to scale up their bio-based products for commercial or defense applications.

BioMADE and its network of over 300 members across 40 states are strengthening American competitiveness, creating a more resilient supply chain, reshoring manufacturing jobs, and producing bio-based products without relying on foreign inputs.

Catalyzed by the U.S. Department of Defense in 2020, BioMADE works with the DoD, Congress, and non-federal agencies to establish these facilities. As a non-profit, BioMADE will reinvest a portion of the revenue generated to further promote the success of the industry.

Sites are currently announced in Minnesota, California, and Iowa. BioMADE continues to seek partnership opportunities to expand the network in additional states. If your state is interested in partnership, reach out to infrastructure@biomade.org to start a conversation.
